With Halloween safely tucked away, here in the US it’s time to turn our hearts and minds to Thanksgiving. I am always humbled this time of year as I think about the blessings that have been bestowed upon me and the gifts that I have been given.
In the pages of the November/December issue of Paper Crafts magazine, we’ve included a feature entitled So Thankful. It’s chock full of creative ways to celebrate Thanksgiving, to say thanks, and to show your gratitude. Here are some of my favorites from the issue.
This beautiful card by Lindsay Amrhein on page 53 not only captures the color palette of Thanksgiving, but its simple design and its rustic flare call attention to the simplicity of the season–a time to give thanks:
This gorgeously stamped card by Angela Fehr on page 59 brings a versatile approach to the season. Whether for Thanksgiving or just to say thank you, its recipient will be filled with joy:
If you have a flare for a more fun and cute style, Kalyn Kepner’s card on page 60 says thanks with a sweet sophistication that warms the heart:
Here’s a great project for Thanksgiving Day by Go-to Gal Windy Robinson, a chance for family and guests to “speak” of their gratitude by placing their thanks in this fun gratitude jar found on page 61.
For more ideas on how to paper craft your thanks, turn to pages 53-61.
And since it is the season of gratitude, let me take this moment to say “thanks” to all of you–for visiting here as often as you do, for the feedback and encouragement that you give to all of us here at Paper Crafts magazine on a daily basis, and for making this hobby the joy that it is today. You are truly a blessing to us, and we are so grateful that you are a part of our lives.
Giving thanks,
Cath
